       PGY5 Rotation
Back to Program Structure

This is an elective and research year. The goal of this year is to allow the resident time to further delve into areas of neuroscience which are of interest and have potential ramifications for further professional development.

All residents are expected to meet with the program director well in advance of their research rotation to develop plans to most expeditiously and efficiently utilize the PGY 5 year.

In general, this time will be spent undertaking research projects with a minimum of two publications as a result of this effort. From time to time and under special circumstances, this year can be spent developing special clinical skills in allied fields such as in neuro-radiology or movement disorder physiology.
