PGY4 Rotation
Back to Program Structure
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta
The responsibilities which have already been established for the
PGY 2 and PGY 3 residents will be applied at Children's Healthcare
of Atlanta. The goals of this rotation are to acquire a broad knowledge
of developmental, neoplastic, infectious and traumatic disorders
affecting the developing nervous system, and to become proficient
in the evaluation and management of patients with common pediatric
problems.
This rotation will enable the resident to appreciate and understand
the differences in disease states in the pediatric patient as compared
to the adult patient. This single resident rotation provides an
opportunity for the resident to develop skills in the management
of a clinical service and communication skills under close supervision
by the attending staff.
