Current Residents may download 2008 Schedules: Grand Rounds and Resident Conferences

Morbidity and Mortality Conference
Held on the first Thursday of each month in place of Grand Rounds. This conference includes a discussion of cases from the Emory, Crawford-Long, Egeleston and Grady Hospitals.

Cerebrovascular Conference

Held weekly on Wednesdays, in collaboration with the MBNA Stroke Center and the Departments of Neurosurgery, Stroke Neurology and Neuro-interventional Radiology.

Epilepsy Case Conference
Held monthly on a Thursday, this is a multidisciplinary conference conducted by members of the Neurology and Neurosurgery departments.

Journal Club
Held monthly on a Wednesday evening, this discussion of the biomedical literature is conducted by rotating members of the faculty.

Case Conferences
Held every Wednesday evening, excluding the week of Journal Club, to discuss background information, decision making, surgical approaches and advanced techniques regarding recent Neurosurgical cases at Emory, Egelston and Crawford Long Hospital.

Movement Disorders Conference
Held on the last Thursday of the month, at a rotating location.

Neuroradiology Grand Rounds
Held weekly on Friday mornings. Neurosurgery residents are encouraged to attend neuroradiology Grand Rounds.

Neurosurgical Cadaveric Dissection Lab
Conducted each year, Emory attendings facilitate a week-long course designed for the residents reviewing important surgical approaches.

Visiting Professors
The Department sponsors an active Visiting Professor program. Among the most prestigious is the Tindall Lecture.
