       Emory Neurosurgery Faculty:
       C. Michael Cawley, M.D., FACS

Associate Professor, Departments of Neurological Surgery and Radiology

1365B Clifton Rd., NE, Ste. 6200
Atlanta, GA 30322

Appt. Phone: 404-778-5770
After graduating from the University of Maryland School of Medicine Magna Cum Laude in 1990, Dr. Cawley took his neurosurgical residency training at Emory University. Following this, he completed fellowships in Cerebrovascular Surgery at the University of Florida and in Interventional Neuroradiology at Emory University.

On staff since 1998, Dr. Cawley's clinical and research interests lie in the treatment of neurovascular disorders via both surgical and endovascular means. He is an active member of The Emory MBNA Stroke Center, which combines the expertise of cerebrovascular neurosurgeons, interventional neuroradiologists, stroke neurologists, and neurointensivists and has developed one of the largest clinical experiences in the nation.

Dr. Cawley has been a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society since 1989, is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons, and serves on the Executive Committee of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. He also maintains leadership and membership positions in several medical societies, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Joint Section on Cerebrovascular Diseases, and the American Society of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology.
